My partner is my best friend, and she is the opposite sex.

Both I have a beast friend of the opposite sex and he is awesome, but I have great friends of the same sex as well. I don't see why someone would have to have a best friend.

I find that the opposite sex is more honest. They tell you like it is from a man's perspective. I find having women as friends becomes really difficult after awhile, especially if they are in groups. If I hadn't had my two guy friends these last few month I think I wouldn't have made it through.

Prefer the opposite sex cos man and woman see things differently and many times this helps me to see things in a different perspective.
