1. "Tchewata," by Aster Aweke (the album is "Kabu"). The whole CD is pretty good. A sample is located here: http://www.emusic.com/samples/m3u/song/10908133/13922341.m3u

2. "Spem in Alium," ("Hope in all things") is a stunning a capella choral piece (technically it's a "motet"), with 40-part harmony, written in the 16th century by Thomas Tallis. A sample can be heard by going to http://www.linnrecords.com/cd_information/cd_information.asp?jsavailable=true&RecordingID=158 and clicking on the link below tracklisting 03, "Spem in Alium." For whatever reason, the link will not display on this page.

Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Boccelli and Sarah Brightman. Or This is Not Goodbye by Melissa Etheridge and Give Unto Me by Evanescene. I got this one on an import CD, and it's very pretty. Yes they are sad, but they're very moving and beautiful to me.
