1st: is pretty slow because it has a so called ultra low voltage CPU (Pentium M) what is especially designed for a long battery life. it also has a relatively small hard disk (40GB).

3rd: is faster than the 1st and has a newer but also ultra low voltage CPU (Core Solo) and a larger hard disk (60GB). it's also designed for long battery life.

2nd: is by far the fastest because it has a regular voltage CPU (either a Core Duo T2300E or Core 2 Duo T5500) and a larger hard disk (80+GB). but battery life will be reasonably shorter than on the first two models.

the rest of the specifications is almost the same. so you have to decide between speed and battery life.

didn't you confuse the prices? i suppose it's 1st, 3rd, 2nd in ascending prices. if you're right with the prices go for the 2nd, but ask the seller for a different battery. maybe they can provide a 9cell Li-Ion battery.

It really depends on what you are going to use it for. Model Number 2 and 3 seems almost similar in term of spec except the processor. Both graphic card is almost identical. I would go for the cheaper one between model 2 and 3.
