A friend of mine had 2 doves on either side of her belly button and it grew and got stretch marks through them. It looked bad after she had her child and lost the weight. The stretch marks didn't go away. She had it touched up and it looks fine now. And she just found out she was pregnant again!

I'm guessing you have NOT gotten one yet, but know you want to get A. a tatoo and B. pregnant.
No matter what any optimist tells you, there IS a strong chance that the pregnancy will distort your tattoo hideously for life. The way your skin stretches is not predictable- we can GUESS but can't guarantee- so no matter what you get, it might not look "cute" during or after the pregnancy.
If you want tattoos on your stomach, how about getting something temporary, such as a professional temporary or airbrushed tattoo or henna?
You should not get a tattoo while pregnant, and make sure to check before coloring your skin with anything, because toxins might seep into your blood and poison the baby.

RE:
Will a stomach tattoo get distorted during pregnancy?
I assume it will, but how badly? Is there a tattoo that is cute and grows as you do?

I got my 1st tattoo for my 17th bday, it was a butterfly on my stomach. At 19 i got pregnant with my 1st and yes, your tattoo does gets distorted. Its looks decent WHILE your pregnant because it has grown and stretched with you. Once the baby is born and you start to lose that weight, then it looks pretty crappy. I have stretch marks through it too. That's what happened with mine but it does also depend on how you grow, how fast you grow, size of the baby, etc. I don't regret my tattoo, but I do wish I would have picked a better spot.

Well I have a few Tattoos and I would say make sure that you are not planning on having children if you get one on your belly. I was very tiny when I had my first sone and got alot of stretch marks. And I know some ome who had a sun around their belly button, while she was pregnant and even years after it doesn't look like it did before. I would talk with a tattoo artist and see what they suggest before doing anything. You don't want to be stuck with something that you are not happy with forever. Hope that this helps.

Yes, it will distort it a bit. It all depends on how much weight you gain, your age at the time of pregnancy and how elastic your skin is. The younger you are the more elasticity in your skin and it will bounce back quicker. Try using skin cream throughout your pregnancy and it may help. Congrats on your pregnancy.
