What you think. Should Ohio State play again against the Wolverines or the Gators deserve the shot on the BCS title?

florida....
honestly, take away any possible personal notions and it falls to florida...
mich LOST to osu..they LOST....
the title is not about rematches, it's about proving that your team is the best in the nation...
and mich does not have that team...
if title games are chosen by rematches, let's see oklahoma v oregon again....
and rutgers v west virginia....
and usc v ucla...
let's give everyone a chance to re-prove why they're the best...
sorry, doesn't work that way....

Michigan:

Wether you look at it as a rematch or not, it's still the battle for national the championship, and throwing such rivals would certainly make it a good one.

From a statistical prespective, Florida trumps winning 12/13 vs. Michigan's 11/12, and have 3 more points, however think about how many points more there should be after having one more game to play. Not to mention, Michigan lost to Ohio State, the #1 team in the country, and only by 3 pts, where as Florida (7 at the time?) lost to Aubern #11, a lower ranked team by 10 points.

Michigan should get the bid..... Ohio st fans badly want Florida.. Can't say I blame them..Simply put Michigan is the second best team in the country.. Vegas would make Michigan a 7 point favorite against the gators on a neutral field. and putting usc ahead of Michigan was a travesty now the gators are going to leapfrog them too? All because Michigan lost to Ohio st by 3 in the horseshoe? Lmao Florida would be lucky and I mean Lucky to keep within 2 touchdowns against the buckeyes in the shoe.

M I C H I G A N ! ! !

Simply put...the ONLY reason that Michigan is not the Big Ten champion is that they lost to the Big Ten champions.

Put Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Georgia or Auburn into the Big Ten and they would be in the same boat that Penn State has been in for the last fourteen years.....2 Big Ten titles (1993, 2005) in a conference that they were supposed to come into and totally dominate.

In my totally biased opinion, I think that Ohio State and Michigan should be playing for the national title.
You may say, 'Michigan had thier shot and lost, why should they play again, they already played?' I say that the two best teams in the country should play for the national title every year, and Ohio State and Michigan are CLEARLY the two best teams in the country this year, regardless of their BCS rankings.

Auburn has lost, twice...at home......Florida lost to Auburn and had more than a few unimpressive wins against MUCH lesser competition...( Geogia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Florida State.)

Michigan lost to Ohio State, who has been # 1 all year (including the preseason)........AT OSU, by 3 points.

USC lost to Oregon State ( who hasn't been ranked at all this year, in any poll, even after they beat USC ), and UCLA (also unranked) ......if that doesn't merit a OSU - UM rematch ( on a neutral field ), then you are a fan whose team is trying to get into the national title game, or, you just don't want to see the best two teams play for the national title.

I won't fault anyone, ever, for being a fan of their team, I never have. If you have a favorite team you should defend them, always, but, if your team isn't one of the two best teams in the country, then you should be happy that the two best teams in the country are playing for the national title.....

PLEASE, don't root (or RANK) against a team just because you don't like them. As fan of college football you should always want to see the two best teams in the country play for the national title, each, and every year. That is what the BCS was created for, to end the arguing amongst all fans throughout the country, and crown a true national champion.

At the end of it all, Michigan's worst scenario is playing in the Rose Bowl, which, in my opinion the greatest of all bowls (also it was the first ever bowl game....Jan. 1,1902 Michigan 49 - Stanford 0)
So I'm not complaining that Michigan might not make the BCS NC game, I'm saying, simply, that the two best teams in the country should play for the national title........every year.

Michigan should and will get a rematch with Ohio State. For the guy that said they should because they play in a tougher conference, you are retarted. I do believe Michigan should get a rematch, but Florida by far is in a tougher conference. The SEC is the best conference in all of football. Florida, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Alabama are all going to play in a bowl game. The SEC is above and beyond any other conference in college football.

Michigan definately. Its not fair that they decided just to give OSU the championship. The poor team has to waste gas to get all the way out there just to have a championship handed to them. Do you realize how much this will actually cost? UF will also be paying to get their team there just to watch OSU be handed the championship. Why not just stay home if they want it to be Florida and hand OSU the championship on their home turf field? This would save everyone money. Now if it was Michigan going then that would be a very good/close game so I would understand. However, this isn't going to be a close game at all and there is no point to even watch this game.

The 2 best teams will be in the game.. Ohio State and Florida.. Floridas going and deserve to and here's why.....:

Offensive TD's Scored:
FLORIDA - 44
USC - 43
Michigan - 41

Average Yards per Play:
FLORIDA - 6.51
USC - 5.95
Michigan - 5.64

Top 25 Defenses Faced:
FLORIDA - 5
Michigan - 3
USC - ZERO

Losses to UNRANKED teams:
USC - 1
FLORIDA - ZERO
Michigan - ZERO

Losses to Top 15 teams:
FLORIDA - 1
Michigan - 1
USC - ZERO

So it must be a problem with our defense, you say?

Scoring Defenses:
FLORIDA is #4 Nationally (allowing 12.3 per game)
Michigan is #9 Nationally (allowing 14.6 per game)
USC is #13 Nationally (allowing 15.1 per game)

SO...

The University of Florida has scored more Touchdowns than USC or Michigan... gained more yards per play than USC or Michigan... all against much tougher defenses than those faced by USC or Michigan... and has a BETTER DEFENSE than USC or Michigan...

When did it become more important to earn these "style points" (buzz word for what a team that the media wants to put #2 has and a team that the media doesn't want to put #2 does not have, whatever it might be) than to play and beat good competition?

Michigan because their only loss came to a #1 team by 3 points. So what if its a rematch?!?! Their conference is really tough also and they are the only ones who have kept up with Ohio State all year.

Michigan should definately get another shot @ it. They only lost by 3 at Ohio State. Plus it'd be a way better game then Florida vs OSU, they'd get killlled. Michigan will actually put up a fight, and win =]
