Not if you're relaxed under normal conditions. It is your first time you might try some K-Ylubricant the first time. Also make sure that you put them in deep enough. That's usually what makes them uncomfortable. Also do not use tampons unless you're on your period. Go to Tampax.com for more information.

no you have to make sure your relaxed tho when you put it in and you dont need to use the applicator to put it in. My mom told me that b/c i was having a hard time after that it wasn't bad. I also like tampons better b/c you dont feel like your sitting in a dirty diaper or bloody saddle. Also i would go by how much your bleeding if your not bleeding that much use the smallest one if you dont it can be uncomfortable

Tampons may not feel right, if you have used them incorrectly. You need to insert them up past the muscle, to feel right. And make sure the string is down or you will be having more problems then just inserting them.

honestly, the first time you put one it it feels awkward and hurts for 2 seconds.. and if you have it in high enough you cant feel it and it is extremely comfortable.. I prefer tampons over pads! good luck

I personally never liked the feel but 3 of my 4 daughters have used them and would never switch (and my latest started using them when she was only 11.) I hope this helps!

No. Not if you put them in correctly. You barely know it's there.
