Sedan has 2 or 4 doors with a frame around the windows

A coupe is usually a hardtop version of a convertible.
Usually 2-doors (although I have seen some with 4) - no window frame.

A hatchback is a sedan or coupe, with a trunk lid that hinges above the rear winow. If there is a backseat, seatback folds down. The whole arrangement allows for easy access to a max luggage area.

A Saloon? Have not heard that one since I was a kid. Usually an oversized (extra long - but not "stretch") sedan.
(Either that, or a bar in a frontier town :) )

Sedan is a family type car with front and rear passenger seating. Can be either two or four door.

A coupe is a closed car body style (permanently attached fixed roof), the precise definition of which varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and over time. Coupés are often hardtopped sports cars or sporty variants of sedan (saloon) body styles, with doors commonly reduced from four to two, and a close-coupled interior offering either two seats or 2+2 seating.

A Hatchback is a car body style incorporating a shared passenger and cargo volume, with rearmost accessibility via a rear third or fifth door, typically a top-hinged liftgate—and features such as fold-down rear seats to enable flexibility within the shared passenger/cargo volume. As a two-box design, the body style typically includes an A, B & C-pillar, and may include a D pillar. The American Heritage Dictionary defines a hatchback as "having a sloping back with a hinged rear door that opens upward."

The difference between a sedan and a coupe is the amount of space inside the car. A coupe as less then 33 cubic ft. Where a sedan as greater then 33 cubic ft. A salon is what the British call a sedan. What we call a station wagon the British call a sport brake or a shooting brake.

a sedan is a four door car, a hatchback has cargo hatch flush with the back of the car, instead of a seperate boot, a saloon is the non-North American name for a sedan, and a coupé is a two door car that is usually more sporty than a saloon/sedan.

Basicaly, Sedan is a 4 door, a coupe is a 2 door, a hatchback the back opens, and I don't know what you are asking with "saloon".

A sedan is a four door, a hatchback has the lift up rear door, I think you mean salon, not saloon, which is a bar. A coupe is a two door.
