In Indiana Jones and other such movies, ancient buildings like pyramids are always rigged with booby traps and other mechanisms to kill intruders. Did any do that in real life?

Regarding the Pyramids and other Egyptian temples and monuments.People, including those looking for its secrets and tomb robbers looking to plunder anything of value, have been poking in and around the Pyramids for over 2000 yrs.Egyptologists and Archaeologists for nearly 200yrs.
No reports of booby traps etc. have ever been reported,it is to be very much doubted there ever was such things outside the movies and novels in the Egyptian Pyramids
.During its time of use, the Giza plateau where the largest most well known Pyramids are,was a huge complex. Not only the Pyramids, but temples,Royal rest houses, storehouses, priests residences, guards barracks and buildings used for the mummification of the dead The area was not only a burial place for Kings and Royals. Incorporated into the area are several cemeteries of tombs and graves of people of all levels of society.
Particularly in the Valley of the Kings,a number of tombs do have shafts ,in the floor. These were primarily built to limit the damage done by the destructive forces of water, during the infrequent but torrential rain that falls in the surrounding area .

The Egyptian pyramids were almost like a maze inside, but I'm not sure if any traps were installed because grave robbers did get in. I'm not positive about the Mayan pyramids though.

Even if they did, it'd be really unlikely that any of those things still worked 3,000 years later. The Egyptian pyramids do have things like mazes or bricked-up passages that lead to the real tomb, but they were all looted anyway. They were also cursed, but in the "Watch it, or Osiris will be _really_ pissed" way. Modern archaeologists usually don't worry about that sort of thing. No darts, no large rocks rolling after you, no fun at all, really.
