Yes. Just hold the string to the side and out of the way so it doesn't get urine on it.

if you're wearing a tampon you purely pee like you many times might want to. Pee does get on the string lots yet once you wipe it's going to help to dry up extra pee from the string. there is not any opt to take your tampon out before you pee.

Yes, two different openings. Urethral opening for urine and vaginal opening for tampon.
Be sure to change them every 4 to 6 hours to avoid a possible infection.

yes you can b/c i have when i have been in a hurry. The reason for that was it was the end of my period and i forgot i had one in. But i new i did when i wiped b/c of the string.

looks like you're not very familiar with your inner plumbing..
unlike in the male organ, you have different channels for sex and urine.
