I saw the new James Bond film this saturday. I liked the film but at the same time was disappointed. Was it scientifically correct when the police officers shot the oil tanker? Would it have exploaded? Also could the man in the first scene run, jump, and climb up that skinny rope that easily? Why didn't they show any improvements or cool gadgets on Bond's car? I give the movie a B- overall. Did Sony really have to only show Sony products in the movie as well as make an scene for the Virgin Mobile dude? Advertising in movies are starting to make me sick. Especially when I am seeing pepsi and other commercials during previews.

I love the new Bond, he's dare to be dirty and being hurt. He's still have big ego and made silly mistakes. And I like the way Craig act as Bond. Wild and vicious agent. I don't like previous Bonds, never care to watch them on theatres before.

Agreed with you on the opening act, it's like watching a Jacky Chan movies as they jump around here and there like a monkey. It took a long time for that scene as well, it would be better if not that long. According to the article that I read this Casino Royale is the early missions of the 007 James Bond that's why we can't see Q there or amazing gadgets but the car and the gun.

I kinda like the phone that Vesper used in that movie, and also a bit disturbed with those advertisement of Sony Ericsson.

well a couple of comments first.

Advertising in film and tv is the biggest way companies make money. People see the products. the car Bond drives is a 2007 (some car) if i read it right it wasnt even out on the market yet.

Also your wonder about gadgets: unlike other bond movies this was not about, Bond girls, cars, Q, or anything else. Its a new look at Bond. What his first days might have been like.

Sorry if it disapointed you but it was everything i expected.
As for reality... you ever been in a gym? a gymnist can do amazing things.. probably was one.

It feels like a good action picture, yet Daniel Craig isn't James Bond. I observed a trailer the place Bond had 5:00 shadow. JAMES BOND does no longer GET 5:00 SHADOW. James Bond's hair, outfits, and accepted visual attraction are consistently perfect, even whilst he's being shot at. and that i heard that Bond has a lager in this action picture. BEER??? How do you ask for shaken, no longer stirred, whilst it comprises beer?

I liked the movie. There's a more realistic touch. This was the first Bond movie I've dared to watch in the actual cinema.

the bond franchise got rid of pierce brosnan coz he was getting too old for the gig, so they went ahead and found a guy who has more fine lines that anthony hopkins, this is the very end of the bond movies, i cant even give it a grade, i had to walk out of the movie in the first half hour, it was embarrassing, my girl would have been disappointed in me if i would stayed anymore, in simple words it sucked, id didn't expect tat, and the black guy is a cheap trick they used to add some stunts, he is French you can see his videos on youtube.

I was not disappointed at all. I thought this Bond movie had a more realistic quality to it.
As far as the advertising crap, I agree with you, but unfortunately we see that in practically all movies now it's what helps them get the sponsors to produce the films.

You think too much. Remember, this was the first novel in the Bond series. He was naive, and gullible. He learnt to get tougher as time went on. Have you watched all of the Bond stunts? How many could have happened the way they did? Just be entertained.

I was completely impressed. I went in there thinking "oh great, the best series killed right here". Then, after seeing how great of a job he did as Bond, I went into shock.
