It is human to judge. The unfairness comes in when the judge does not give the judged a chance to alter the judge's perceptions.
I would argue most humans lack self-awareness, so noticing one's own mistakes is harder than noticing the mistakes of others.
To me, a major part of life is learning to accept and learning about one's self. It takes a lifetime to really achieve this.

I am without mistakes, therefore, I can judge others and I particularly like to do so unfairly. It just accentuates my own perfection and wonderfulness. I think that's the answer you seek.
PS, I do not, however, go around killing imperfect humans as those of some religions do.

I judge people all the time. It's my opinion. If it turns out I'm right or wrong that's that. Who's opinion should I use when I m deciding on a babysitter or which late nite gas station to use or what ATM I'm going to use (the one with no one or the one with three young men hanging around). Thanks but I'll judge people for myself. You are free to judge me.

Why? I think most dont' realize they are judging. For sure, they wouldn't admit it, because most acknowledge judging is wrong.

Most people don't take the time to clean their backyard up before talking about your messy yard.Sad but true.

It makes them feel better about themselves. I know it always makes me feel a little superior and uppity.
