Does the United States really have much choice? Already Iraq has met with Iran and Syria that we know of. Who knows whether there haven't been clandestine meetings all along? Perhaps this is why Maliki is so confident that he will take over the reigns of security in 6 months. Others may seem to think that Bush emerged from the "summit" more confident than ever. But for some reason it looks as though Maliki revealed more than we are aware of, and more than Bush was willing to reveal either. Bush is maintaining that he will stay the course..but I wonder

In fact we all have to wonder. Hundreds killed each day in Iraq. No one really knows who is responsible. The United States military cannot take the chance of sending more troops into harms way, despite the Iraqi lives that have been lost.

It would be to the U.S. best interests to find a way to participate in negotiating with Syria and Iran. We cannot participate in another war and should do everything possible to avoid it. By antagonizing another country, that knows we are being bankrupted by this war and our U.S. citizens are being denied imperative services, we are taunting them into seeing if they can slay the giant. G. Bush is playing with fire and the lives of our young people while trying to find a legacy that is already tarnished beyond hope.

The US can talk with Syria and Iran but the Jews in the White House would not allow it.
Read the book "An End to Evil" by two Bush Jews---Perle and Frum
Plus, read Frums website.
David Frum = A Canadian Jew who has more right then any American in the White House
David Frum = the idiot that wrote Bush speech "Axis of Evil"

They are already talking, must be a little strained after calling them Axis Of Evil all this time. George Bush asking Iran for help, it just can't get any stranger than that. Can it!

I think they will. If you look at the history between the middle east and the US you can see why each side would be reluctant to trust the other side. However for the good of the planet a resolution will have to be agreed upon to stop this war.

Maybe if the powerful Israeli lobby did not have our Government so hamstrung with their demands maybe the Mideast would already be a more peaceful place.
Clearly viewing our whole Mideast foreign policy through Israels wishes is not always in Our best interests.

I hope we don't try. Such talks would be highly counterproductive.
