please give me ideas for a middle school interesting science project. Any thing is good except USELESS websites. Other websites are excepted as long they are not useless.

How about the process of absorption of plants. Using celery and carnations, you could place them in different colored water and observe how long it takes to turn the plant the color and how completely it changes color. You need to research plant cell structure, the process of plant absorption and then you can compare it to the human body. i.e. plants absorb nutrient that it uses for growth and health much like the human body does when supplied with the right foods. Both need vitamins/minerals to grow strong and healthy. When there is an absense of a certain nutrient, there is a direct effect on the plant as in humans...

Anything with electricity is always cool. I just taught it simply to my elementary class. We did open & closed circuits, conductors and insulators, sources of electricity, lemon batteries, switches, static and current electricity. You can get all the basic supplies at a hardware store. Just make sure you're using batteries. Current electricity (like the kind you use at home) can be very dangerous.

i did my science fair project on earthquakes..like what type of structures can survive an earthquake...blah...it ddnt win the science fair..but i thought it was good..
