Youtube currently does that and look at successful they are.

Even though macs are a smaller percentage of the market you are still excluding a large amount of potential ad revenue. When I send a file to a person, I make sure it is not just a PICT format but one that will work with both systems. Why can others be as considerate?

Yahoo videos are accessible on my Mac with the exception of those formatted for WMV which is Microsoft's exclusive video format. Unfortunately, half the people out there use that format and they frankly don't give a damn as long as it works for 94 percent of their friends who have Windows computers. This is Yahoo's decision to allow any video format and it is the individual creators' decision to choose a Microsoft exclusive, and sometimes Mac-excluding format.

Microsoft no longer makes a plugin for Mac that will show .WMV or .WMA files in any browser. This came about because Apple now has their own browser, Safari, and Microsoft decided to take their ball and go home.

If you have Mac OS 10.3.9 or later and QuickTime 6.5 or later on your Mac, you can get a third-party plugin that usually works. Link below:

Outsourcing and layoffs have gutted the technology business. Yahoo is so riddled with screw-ups that they wouldn't be in business if the entire industry wasn't gutted as well.

Now that the Republitraitors are gone we might see technology start to advance again...
