Even if you know that you have no real reason to be intimidated, like if the person is very kind and gentle, but you cant' help but feel self concious. It seems like the person is looking right through you, down to your bare bones. Eventually, it gets easier to be normal.

Any one else know what I'm talking about?

I don't feel uncomfortable around people that are respected because. I respect my self. I am basically just as equal to them as they are to me. I admire people that are very respectful and are even upper class. just because they might have things fancier than me, I am still comfortable around them. I am a kind and gentle person my self and I don't look down on others. I would help them first. Good question though. God Bless.

No - I always remember that they put their pants on one leg at a time just like I do. People are people are people. No one is better than anyone else.

As Dr. Phil always says, there is no reality only perception. It is how important you perceive these people to be and how little confidence you have in yourself that makes you feel intimidated.

Next time you feel intimdated or nervous around people you respect and admire, think of what Dr. Phil said and I guarantee you will feel better immediately.

Oh, absolutely. You might start to be at ease with the person, but it could take a good deal of time. Sometimes it helps a bit if you catch them at a moment where they're not at their most graceful, if that makes any sense. It sounds fairly normal though, nothing to feel strange about.

Yes and I think it is quite normal to feel a little nervous around someone we look up to. I try to remember that they are just people too just like us...sometimes it helps, sometimes not...it depends on the person.
