Even if you know that you have no real reason to be intimidated, like if the person is very kind and gentle, but you cant' help but feel self concious. It seems like the person is looking right through you, down to your bare bones. Eventually, it gets easier to be normal.

Any one else know what I'm talking about?

Yes...with me, however, I become stupid. I normally speak very well, articulate ideas very clearly and intelligently, but around the few people I regard as intelligent, I become profoundly stupid. They play the jokes that you'd expect a 5 year to (maybe) fall for. Like "Did you know the dirt in our backyard is actually finely ground lava rocks?" Me: Really??? It is so annoying, I can't stand it and have no idea what to do about it. With anyone who is inferior to me though, man do I dominate them...*sigh*

Every time!

Usually I cannot express myself...but this goes further with me...I admire/respect and 'desire' the person then I am tongue tied.

Pure torment like being sixteen again and unable to speak to your crush.

Actually though being older it feels that everything...my future with this person, my success rides on the FIRST IMPRESSION!!

take care, hope it gets easier for you.

If you are not intimidated by this person, why ask such a stupid question? Are you worthless?
