Not in 2008. He doesn't have enough experience, hasn't introduced any really meaningful legislation and doesn't know the ins and outs of working with the Washington power brokers. Right now, he's just a good speaker who has captured the imagination of a lot of people. His best bet would be to serve as vice president for 8 years under the next president - who of course will be a Democrat - and then run. Then we could have 16 years of peace and prosperity!

Obama doesn't have a chance right now. He is not even in the Council of Foreign Relations or in the Bilderberg group. He needs to get the right connections first before he even dreams of becoming the first African-American President

Completely agree with "Wild Thing." Not enough experience. Would be good as VP. A great step for America and for our image and prestige around the world if a man of mixed racial heritage were to assume such an office. He's also competent and intelligent. I live for the day when we have those two components back in the White House again, with a Democrat in charge.

May be a good choice. Especially in regards to foreign policy. He can step up and say he want to take a different approach to foreign relation. He would be believable because he doesn;t have any part of the ineffective policies of the last 20 years. The world is ready for America to listen, and humans are always hopeful.

Well don't know if my old aged answer will matter, but I will tell you this, I pray that he will, if not soon, I hope in the future he will. I'm a white, female, Red-blooded American, and I believe that his ideas are sincere. He sees no color when it comes to Humanity, and we need that, our country and world need that. I believe someone with such strong issues would run a good nation like ours. He believes in issues of equal rights for the paying American., and thats the way it should be. He's got my vote., but I'm afraid it won't happen in my life-time. But he has my prayers, he could be the Martin Luther King we lost!

You are supposed to be distracted by Obama while the Republicans keep taking your tax dollars and drive other nations into the ground. Start paying attention to what's happening now.

Not for a while I hope. I know almost nothing about him, only that he speaks nicely. Right now he is doing what all political candidates do.............testing the political waters before he answers the question.
