I have a few ways: first fill the plastic container up with very warm or hot water and let it sit there for a couple of minutes, then try peeling it off. If not... while the water is still in the container, take dish washer liquid and rub it on the label and let sit for a moment then try to scrape it off.

Goof off is the only way to good. I just took label off of 50 jars for my daughter's wedding. It was easy and fast and much better than any of the other suggestions.

Heat the label with a hair dryer on the hottest setting, and scrape off what you can. If it leaves a sticky residue, rub eucalyptus oil on to it.

Try a product called "De-Solv-It". It is great for removing labels and adhesives. You can find it in the household cleaners section at your local retailer.

Lift Off or Goof Off.
Get them at most hardware stores or at Home Depot or Lowes.

I agree. Rubbing alcohol or heating it with a blow dryer sometimes does the trick.
