NFL.

Sure college has the upsets but that's from sloppy playing and drastic differences between the quality of teams and individual players. A dazzling catch from Chad Johnson against a pro corner back is more impressive to me than one from a dominant college receiver against a corner back that is not good enough to ever play football again after college. The chargers' LT is that much more imipressive to watch because he does everything reggie bush did in college accept against professionals.

The NFL has superior athletes that are faster and stronger. This creates bigger hits, a faster game, and forces everyone to get better.

The NFL has more in depth strategies. Football is like a game of chess and the NFL is on the highest level.

I love a big college football game (like Michigan and OSU) but there are too many games that are with scrub teams just to fill schedules with easy wins so they can advance their position within the ridiculous BCS system. Name any sport that doesn't actually have a playoff or a clear way to determine who the champion truly is. Voting and crazy equations will never outweigh the best teams actually playing eachother. The top 6 or 8 in the BCS should be put in a playoff leading up to the Nation Championship. College football is a flawed system driven by money. The NFL is a well oiled machine driven by money.

You'd never say the minor leagues in baseball are better than the pros just because there are more upsets, comebacks, and big plays. These are all symptoms of sloppy play. Which is ok, their not pros. College football is great because of it's imperfections. The pros are great because it is football on a higher level.

I like college football. I love the NFL.

Go Blue. Go 49ers. Go Football.

College.A lot more competitive and always exciting as well as faster pace games without all of the bs commercial time outs the NFL has.Plus the focus in college is WINNING your games and every game counts.Theres none of this clinching your division then not playing your starters for the last 2 games so they don't get hurt, which is nothing more than ripping off the fans who pay ridiculous prices for tickets. And if you get beat by some half azz sorry team, too bad too sad, your not gonna be in the Nat Championship. It's by far the only sport where EVERY game counts. (Which is why I'm against a tourney like basketball has)

Also the coach's can actually coach and not worry about being fired by some spoiled millionaire puzz.On most teams, the best player will play, no matter what their name is , and also on most teams, the same rules apply to everyone on the team. And also in college, you score a TD , you better get back to the bench fast or you get a flag thrown quick.None of this ridiculous dancing or showing the other team up..Look at the games we have had the last 3 weeks alone in college,..Better than an entire season of the NFL...

NFL. It's at least honest that it is a business. Anyone who thinks the colleges are some incarnation of Olympic purity isn't looking very hard. Colleges are farms for remedial learners (in football at least), but they're treated like princes while they are there bringing in alumnus money. In any case, with the parity of the pro league things can be closer. Does anyone really doubt the end result of U Miami v. Pacific? Western Kentucky v. Notre Dame? When did a pro team ever get handicapped with a 42-point spread?

The NFL has a lot of parity in the league and I love that about the NFL. I also love the level that they play at. On the flip side, I like that they're talented kids in college and play with such heart and there's no money involved. Bo Schembechler said it best before a championship game: This is the last time in your career that you guys will play as a team. The rest of your lives you'll be playing for yourself and contracts. THAT'S what sports are about.

College football and basketball are businesses for the colleges just as the pro teams are businesses for the owners. There is more "electricity" and excitement in a college game and seems to be more of a team sport. The game moves faster than the pros. There does need to be a better playoff system to determine the nations best. Pro games are more show by "superstars" and too much arguing with the refs. The games are slower with less action. I like both levels of competition and really can't say which is better, it is like comparing apples and oranges.

Actually both. College because of the crowd, especially if your school is playing and you are watching the game in the stadium. No matter what cultural/race background you are, everybody is cheering for that one TEAM. In NFL, you get to see amazing plays that you won't be able to see in college football.

NFL (We play "Defense")

But I can see there are a lot of College football fans here. That's why I think Yahoo Answers should put both in different categories.

College football way better because more teams and more upsets. No trading and the players have more to play for. There are more championships. Two losses and you are pretty much done
