but the dots are also on her eyelids quite a bit. She is recovering from an eye infection as well, could this be related? or an Allergy?
It doesnt seem to bother her though.

It is probably just baby acne. My son had a HORRIBLE case of it! It could also be caused by the eye fluids from the eye infection too. Don't worry about it though, either way it will clear up eventually.

Baby Acne due to hormones. Its okay and will go away in a few months. I find that if I don't touch her face much and don't use ANY soap nor a washcloth (especially one that's not 100% cotton) on MY baby's face, her acne subsides. AS SOON as lotion or soap or shampoo hits her skin... dots galore! She's 6 weeks. I've read a lot on the matter. It's very common. The eyelids are the same on my baby and I'm breaking the habit of 1. kissing her eyelids so much ;-D, 2. helping close her eyes when she's almost asleep and 3. getting that "stuff" off her eyes when I see it.

congratulations on your precious bundle!

I would watch her over the next 12-24 hours and see what progresses. My son had the baby acne on his eyelid as I recall. Could be acne from the leftover residue you probably had to use for the eye infection. If it doesn't bother her, just watch it like I stated. If it gets worse or causes her discomfort, call her pediatrician right away.

Hope this helps,
Jen

It could be both. I know that my oldest son had an allergy to the formula that did the same thing. The red dots never bothered him but they didn't go away until we found the right formula. I would ask your pediatrician about that.

My daughter had a rash on her face too. It was on her ears and everywhere. I thought that it was baby acne as well but her doctor told me it is exzema. He said that it would most likely go away with time. But to help I bought aveeno baby body wash for dry skin. Her doctor also had me buy a good moisturizing lotion like lubriderm. Her skin is all cleared up now.

It could be baby measles..or baby acne..or could be the start of chicken pox.

Your best bet is to go get her checked by her paediatrician. It is never a waste even if it turns out to be nothing to worry about. Especially at that age..better safe than sorry is always a good bet.

Surely baby acne. It is normal...and it will bother you way more than it will bother her. It will go away in a couple of weeks!
