You can put out ant bait. Ants love it and they'll take it back to their nest and it'll kill off their colony. Or if you want you can try using a bug spray. The stuff at the hardware store isn't always very effective though. It's pretty watered down. I prefer to get professional strength chemicals (like the bugman uses). I get mine from homepestsolutions.com. You can get baits or sprays there. The stuff works great. They also have a bugman you can ask questions if you don't know what you're doing and a page about ants. I hope you get rid of your ant problem. Good Luck!

Ants become a nuisance when they enter homes. Instead of spending money on costly pest control, you can get rid of ants by removing the food source and using soap water.
I found the information at http://www.pests.in useful

Use a dilute solution of boric acid. You can buy boric acid at a hardware store. It is a perfectly harmless compound. It will kill them slowly, but will wipe out the colony.

Mix boric acid with syrup. The syrup will attract them and the boric acid will kill them. Keep it out of the reach of kids and pets.
