um.. i think i would name them funny names!! But that's just me. lol but i would say john and dane interesting names but those are the best i could do!! If you want to name them funny names name them...
cat and fish
spoon and fork
or
cat and dog
oh and just came up with 1 more
gold and fish
there are some names!! may be that would help but i doubt it!!

I wouldn't put male betas in the same tank, evenwith a divider. Though it may be entertaining to some to watch the fish kill eachother, I would just get 2 tanks or a bowl and a tank and alternate the fish. Good Luck!

Since the males are the most colorful, how about something relating to color?
I like Jesse and Frank, since they're also called Siamese Fighting Fish!
But, should two male betas be in the same tank together? Won't they fight til the death?

One Dave, the other Grohl? One Grill the other Fry? One Jim the other Jack? One Swim the other Swam? ummmm, one Foo the other Rogue? One Blew the other Blow? Ahhh, one Tom the other Jerry? Just some for thought, they were serious too cause I love animals also ;o)
Personally I like the name Foo for a fighting fish (in reference to the band Foo Fighters)

I named my fish : Poseidon (god of water in rome of greek) Neptune (god of water in rome or greeak) Pez ( pescado is spanish for fish so I made it pez) and that i have yet another named Da Vinchi .. why? I dont understand lol I used to understand what the gods for water were for rome and greek at the same time as i change into searching it up yet I forgot now
