If she did wear the yellow outfit and had that jaundiced yellow color then the phot printing machines might color correct thinking that the image was incorrectly too yellow. That might be one way to get her real skin tone to appear.
You might also speak to the photographer as to whether there will be any filter he can use when photographing to minimize her temporary skin shade.

Stay away from purple. Purple is directly across from yellow on the color wheel. The two colors contrast and it would highlight the excess yellow.
Its hard to say what would look best... it's probably going to take a lot of trial and error.
My baby sister was born with jaundice and my parents preferred to wait til it subsided to take pictures. Now they regret it because they have no pictures of her when she was her tiniest. I think its wonderful you're still doing pictures. She's a baby, she's your precious daughter, she will look beautiful regardless.

My daughter was born w/ jaundice and her first pics she wore pink which made her color stand out more. I found that anything w/ red or pink only makes the Orange color stand out. Actually anything we put on her didn't hide the fact she had jaundice. Try a pastel blue, or pastel green I know those colors don't sound very appealing but they were the only ones looking back at photos that her skin didn't stand out. Any color you choose though won't matter b/c she'll look cute to you regardless. Better to have pics then not to have them b/c of her color.

My baby had jaundice too, and stay away from yellow/white/orange, I found blue neutralized her jaundice and made her look less yellow.

You can ask the photo developers to tone down the yellow in the photo. I did this with a photo of a baby with jaundice and she looked lovely and pink in the final print. She was wearing white with pink lace trim. Congratulations on the birth of your daughter.

Actually I was going to RECOMMEND purple for that very same reason. (The one stated above.) She would look less jaundiced and more "normal" because of the way the purple played upon her skin. Trust me she will be beautiful in a lavender purple with maybe pink trim.

Green or purple are both good colors to counteract yellow tones. The photographer could also do a touch up if it is real bad. Good luck!
