Like Rose said, I don't know why you couldn't get your ears pierced at 16....and especially with your 21 year old sister with you.....I pierced mine when I was like 13? maybe....too long ago to remember....lol....I used to have a pair of self-piercing earrings....they probably still make them....if so, maybe you could get a pair and try that....just be sure to use good sterilizing, though..keep a check on them...I think it takes about a week for them to actually pierce through the whole earlobe....good luck!

You may be disappointed that were turned away, but they were right to tell you no. Your sister is older then you but she is not your legal guardian, next time try to take your parent. I had my ears peirced when I was young and it was no big deal. The ear peircing places have to protect themselves from lawsuits if you were to get a infection in your ear from the peircing, you are still a minor, so they did right by refusing to peirce them for you. You have two more years to wait what is the big deal. Peirced ears don't make you more attractive or cool wait the two years and if you still want to pierce them then, go ahead!

My daughter decided she wanted her ears pierced at age 5.
I couldn't think of an objection (some girl's parents do it when ther are babies!)
I didn't pierce my ears til I was 21 !
My grandmother got her ears pierced finally when she was 75!
Where do you live?
It sounds like the place you went is VERY conservative, but probably interested in protecting your health.

Well, I think you should have gone with your mother/father or guardian. I don't know, the rules in piercing parlors vary from place to place. Anyways, wait two more years until you're 18 so you don't have to bring any adults with you.

It's right because even though your sister was 21, she is not your parent or legal guardian.

If you are under 18 you have to have your legal guardian with you to get piercings.
