I feel goldfish will make a great birthday gift for someone special.I hope there is no problem with it regarding feng shui and all.

It's best not to give pets as gifts. It's possible that the person doesn't want the pet, can't afford to care for it, has other pets, can't take care of a pet etc etc. So, no, I wouldn't get them a goldfish.
What you can do is talk to them about it first, say you'd like to get them a fishtank for their birthday.
Don't forget that goldfish need 20 gallons of water each - fancy goldfish, that is. Other goldfish grow to 18-24" and need ponds.
So, before you buy anything alive (except for plants, lol) for anyone, please be sure that they are willing to take on the responsibility of such a pet, and you both do your research so you know what is involved.

Of course its a great Birthday gift. But make sure the receiver of the gift has an Aquarium and he/she loves pets or your idea of a great gift will be a fiasco. Goldfish has nothing to do with Feng Shui.

Goldfish is good in feng shui. They bring luck and money and many good things. I am a feng shui master disciple. It really make a good present.

Animals as gifts is NOT a good idea....What if the person DOESNT want a fish??!! Did u think of that? And its best not to give someone a pet as a gift because you dont knw what kind of an animal they want and even if they do want one it should be of THEIR OWN choice...and they should PERSONALLY go buy it...
Or if you do want to get them a goldfish make sure to ASK them first...its horrible to give someone an animal as a gift and then find out they DONT want to take care of it or their parents dont want it in the house...

offcourse you can but be sure that the person to whom u are going to give gift should have knowledge about keeping goldfish. if he/she don't know anything about goldfish and don't have big enough fishtank for goldfish then please don't give goldfish as a birthday gift.

FIsh is considered to be auspicous amongst people from bengal and also the chinese . Make sure the person u are giving the gold fish likes pets specialy fish

beta, mea india thee bolu chou. you cant do that if the goldfish dies bhagvan punish you. that will give you bad KARMA. ok now be a good boy and buy something better because goldfish are are a hard work and i herad tht they pee more than they poop. it gets messy and the tank stink and get slimy
