Yes. There's an old joke: how do you shut an italian up? Make them sit on their hands....it's so true! LOL
It's part of our culture to be colourful and dramatic (have never been called a drama queen however) and part of our nature is to express ourselves in a very passionate manner which includes body language and our hands too of course.
You can say so much more when you throw your entire being into a conversation....all you Italians know what I'm talking about...and Greeks and other Europeans are pretty much a colourful bunch too.
Not surprised there are others out there....LOL

I think I must. One time at a restaurant a waiter came over to see what I wanted. I hadn't summoned him; I guess I was talking with my hands too much.
