Absolutely yes. Cheating is a result of an individual who is not getting what he/she needs from the relationship; In this case sex. The married individual is seeking sexual pleasure from people outside his/her relationship and that is definitely cheating.

An affair is often a euphemism for a situation where two people are involved in an inappropriate romantic relationship. Cyber sex is defined as an emotional affair in which person is expressing thoughts, ideas, deep feelings, emotions, or sharing experiences normally reserved for spouse with another person. An emotional affairs differs from a physical affair in that it is not initiated for simple sex. Emotional affairs are often initiated when one spouse is not receiving emotional support from the other spouse and seek fulfillment from another person. Debate continues among moralists on whether cybersex is a form of infidelity. While it does not involve physical contact, critics claim that the powerful emotions involved can cause marital stress, especially when cybersex culminates in an Internet romance. In several known cases Internet adultery became the grounds for which a couple divorced.

Morally, yes, cyber sex would be considered adultery. There may be some cases, and while still adultery, where it could be viewed as better than first-hand sex or other kinds of so-called illicit relationships. A man or woman whose spouse is either unable physically to take part in normal sexual relations, or the spouse has turned away from sex, then that man or woman, in my view, should not be condemned for participating in cyber sex. I have found myself in that way and at least I know that, though my affections may become slightly divided, I am not literally cheating and I do not feel bad about it or am I frustrated as I would otherwise be.

If a person even looks at the other sex to lust (think sexual thoughts) after them, that is adultery. It's called defiling the marriage bed and it has destroyed countless homes. It never stops there but this sin takes people deeper and deeper until they are so addicted they lose everything; jobs, relationships, everything. Pornography played a role in the lives of these men: Scott Peterson, Mark Hacking, Neil Entwhistle, John Gacy, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer. Guard your heart and don't play with sin as it always takes you farther than you want to go and keeps you longer in it's clutches than you want to stay until you are completely in it's grasp, doing whatever satan's evil voices command you to.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cyber sex is cheating. Cause if you are cybering that will make your wife think that you are physically cheating on her. Just think about it. If your wife was to catch you cybering the first thing that pops in her head will be OMG I AIN'T ENOUGH FOR HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the second thing she will be thinking is HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU CHEATED ON HER WITH A REAL PERSON. So smartin up before you get caught and lose your wife. You know what they say, "You never know what you had until it's gone!" So do yourself a favor and stop it before it gets out of hand.

I'd say it's a healthier alternative to real adultry - vis a vis, if a person is the kind who would be tempted to cheat on a spouse or visit a hooker, its better to satisfy that thru cybersex.

Cyber sex isn't real sex. There is no excahange of bodily fluids, physical intimacy or emotional involvement. It is basically publicised masturbation which cannot be considered as adultry.

This one is debatable. I would say yes and no. Obviously on a physical level it's isn't, but on an emotional level it is which sometimes can hurt so much worse. However, I feel if the spouse knows and it's not a problem for them, they hey, to each their own. But if it's hidden from the spouse, definitely.

Yes it is 100%, but not just because you are married. If you have significant other out there and you do that, you are cheating on them, UNLESS you do it with them right there watching you, and I don't think any one will either. So yes it is cheating.

Sure it is. On the other hand my dick ain't wet and I can sleep at night.
Also look at the rest of the answers. Mostly Females state that it is and Males state that it is not. Mostly. Just consider the fact that most women think sex is mental and men think sex is physical.
