The movie was a true story!

Absolutely not. At some point in your life, you have to realize that no matter how good a movie or how closely it is based on reality, it is still a movie. A fictional entity.

yes! It doesn't last long though. I can't remember any of the movies that made me quite THAT depressed (my mind omits memories I find unpleasant) but some I can remember that made me REALLY sad were:

Saving Private Ryan- it was so sad!

Somewhere in Time- this movie is so sad in such a sweet way that all the sadness in me made me physically ill!

I can't remember the name of this one! (like I said... my mind sometimes omits unpleasant things) What was the name of the 9/11 movie, about the people in the plane? First I was so sad I wanted to dig a hole in the ground and bury myself in it so no one would see me bawling and banging my head against the wall, and then I suddenly was so angry I wanted to bring the hijackers back to life so I could kill them in every painful way imaginable. And I am usually a very anti-violence person! I'm practically a hippie most of the time!

I feel stupid about this one... but Dumbo makes me cry. No matter how many times I see it I just have to cry. When he goes to see his mom in the cage, and she can't even see him because she's all chained up and alone, but she sticks her trunk out and rocks him to the sad background music and all the other animals are with their moms and she's so happy to see him and then he has to leave and he can't see her... OH MY GOSH my eyes are runny just thinking about it. It's so weird... this movie pretty much tops off all the others. A cartoon about an elephant... and I bawl every time I see it.

No it isn't normal. It isn't normal @ all. Maybe there is something in that movie convicting and/or provoking you. Whatever you do, don't die. Look within yourself and figure out the problem. If you think irs serious, u may need to talk to a professional.
God bless

No , But I heard of movies that can bring such emotion. Like " the Passion of Christ.' ( 2003)
That actually moved people to fall in the grace of spirituality.

Then there are movies that aren't actually depressing, but completely dumb enough to make others go out and "mock" them , like the movie " Jackass." How many stupid guys got killed or hurt over mimicking stunts from Jackass??

umm kinda...like when it hits so close to home that it reminds you of your own pain. I mean you can identify with a character to the point where the movie becomes a mirror..and sometimes its hard to look in a mirror when theres pain or anger there....but dont wish yourself dead...noone would be happy with that =0) but yes i understand what ya mean=0)

Yeah -- the Blair Witch Project. I was depressed when I realized I'd actually spent $8 to watch that crap.

In a world of such abnormalities, such things as movies depressing oneself would be considered normal. Dont be upset its not your fault.
