There are many times that I throw in the towel, trying to convince myself to stop caring. It just never works out that way. So, with a growl of frustration, I snatch up that ol' towel, and keep marching. I am painfully loyal, occasionally to my detriment.

Um... I stopped caring when....I watched my stepdad drive my truck away after my mom ...my only family member I had left... Screwed me right after My grandmother died and I lost my house. Then I had to drive a POS car home to a MOTEL where I was staying and go to my minimum wage job the next day. I started caring again when I got into school and am selling my POS car to get something I like.... so I guess that even when U hit rock bottom there will always be a diffrent tunnel to get you back to the top.... might be steep and rocky and full of scorpians but go ahead and try.... might be even better at the top before...GOOD LUCK!!!!

Every time I have done that, my thinking was in the despair mode and I made a bad decision. You cannot just throw in the towel and believe everything will magically work itself out. We are responsible for our decisions and will receive the results eventually, good or bad.

I can't. I have tried to throw the towel several times but pride makes me catch it mid air before it hits the ground.

I’ve thought about it, and was on the verge of doing so but then I remembered that if I throw in the towel I’d be a loser who doesn’t deserve any respect.

I don't think there is a certain point, because you're always going to care, maybe just not the same way as before.

That's a hard one. If you're as loyal as I am, once you start caring, it's almost impossible to stop. I guess you just have to weigh the ups and downs.

I have never thrown in the towel regardless of how much I have wanted to.

If I work on something for a while, and no one notices what I've been doing... that's when I give up.
thats about the same time my work gets noticed too
