i am getting married in 25 days. it is an arranged marriage & i know her since nearly 4 months. i have an on & off alcohol problem. y´day on the phone (i am in uk, she is in india) i abused her verbally. i cannot remember what exactly i told her b´coz i was heavily drunk. but she is still agreeing to marry her, however she never told me that she loves me, but that she likes me & cares about me. she says she is marrying me b´coz to keep her parents happy. is she sticking with me b´coz she like me that much (despite me abusing her on the phone y´day) or b´coz she loves her parents so much & wants to keep em happy.? by the way, otherwise i am such a good person. ie i am a very nice person. it´s only when i am drunk that i am terrible.

How much money do you have? There must be a reason she is willing to marry a jerk.

I hope you apologized to her and are feeling some guilt and remorse for what you might have said to her. Take it from a married person, you need to change your habits if you want to have a strong marriage. If the drinking means more to you than your relationships, please I beg of you, do yourself and that poor girl and her family a favor an [YOU] call off the wedding because she is too noble to back out.

Personally, your quesiton is very dumb ..."does she love me that much?" No you bloody idiot/badmash, she is a better person than you and the Indian culture is dignified and that is why she has not backed out. But beleive me, I am sure she is hurt and a bit worried about what she is getting into. Confront her about the situation and maybe even find a good Hindi apology song to play for her for your bad behavior.

Change your bad habits so that you are worthy to deserve such a wife. Otherwise, PLEASE call it off... for her and her family's sake.

Maybe she knows this about you and is willing to forgive the incident. If you are going to be an angry drunk, I hope you do not drink around her and try to stop yourself from calling her when you are drunk.
