Yes I did 1 year , and I'm sure after that my mom used a roll of tape on each gift because the next few years there was now way to peak without ripping the paper so I gave up !! lol

There was a year or two I was into doing that! I even got crafty and learned how to neatly cut the tape with a knife, easily pull out the gift to check it out, and then put it back together with another piece of tape of the top of the first so it looked like no one had opened it. My brother and I also learned where my mother had kept the stash of presents at one time as well, and I was able to check out what I was getting. Now that I'm older, I don't like to know, and I hate it when people tell me beforehand what I'm getting. Guess it changes as you get older.

I was always curious what I'd get, but I held myself back! I love unwrapping a present and NOT knowing what is inside. Although my sister and I would always wake up at like 5 am, (it was a set alarm in our brains!) and go peek under the tree. Then we would wait for as long as we could (about 30 minutes) and go wake mom up. We would never open presents until she was awake. For one, I knew she'd want to be there. For two, I wanted her there. Three, it was like a taboo to do so.

Yes, once when I was little (but old enough to be home alone) I found a bag of hidden presents and I looked through it. I thought, I wonder who these are for? As it turned out, they were mine!
I stopped looking for hidden presents when I was young and lived at home - It really does ruin the joy of receiving (and giving for my folks!)

I never did, I always liked the surprise. I know my brother did every single year... he probably still does, and he's 21. He would say if I told my parents, he'd just say it was me. And, being the naive little sister, I still haven't said a word to this day. Haha.

yes!! my brother and i would sneak a peek we even went to the extent of unwrapping the gifts half-way, and putting them back together after we looked, and it just made it harder for us cause we knew what we were getting and we couldn't play with it yet... my mom found out what we were doing and they took all our gifts back to the store, and we got cole that year for christmas,

I did once when I was about 9, and it totally ruined the surprise, so after that I never went snooping again!
