Its probably more obvious to her than anyone how 'sorry' you are.

...what the hell is really going on? You only have one mother with one birthday. We live in a technical society in which you can post reminders of special days any and nearly everywhere... Don't ever let it happen again!! Show respect by being more considerate and submit your mother's birthday on your (paper &/or electronic) calendar as if it's a final exam! Class dismissed. NO MORE EXCUSES, GROW UP and be more attentive and responsible, what hell are you really learning at "the university" your mother is paying a fortune for?

I feel for your mom since I am one. This is what u do next year,Put on your calendar 2 weeks before her birhtday.Get her card and gift then.Have it already to mail. Then if something happens have someone esle mail it.No excuses this time.Good luck..Oh plus there is no way to make it up to your mom. Unless u send her a card that says about u being late with a gift. That might work....

Go out and buy her a really nice gift and tell her sorry for the delay, but your mail order was placed on back order. Sometimes we have to tell false hoods to not hurt anyones' feelings.

Well did she ever forget your birthday and tell you she was too busy? Probably not. That is lame, you should feel horrible. She deserved a better kid than you.

get a piece of paper and write it down! Go on Yahoo calendar and type it. It will send you a reminder!
