Become competitive. Try and be the best, maybe you will find it rewarding when you are whooping the *** of everyone else.

Well here is my take on your question. So you don't like school. That is normal for lots of kids, however school is really important to your future. Try to find something about school that you can really focus on to keep you motivated. Don't give up and not try because you are not motivated. When I was in high school I to was really smart and never applied myself. Now I have a wife, two kids, and I understand the importance of school. I am trying to get into medical school but, I am having a hell of a time getting there because in high school I did not apply myself. Bust your butt through high school, do the best you can, and then if college is not for you SO BE IT. At least you did the best you can and won't later regret your decision to not work at it because you didn't want to try. Don't be like me..... Work now so things will be easier later.

Good luck

My daughter done this in science. I 'll tell you what I told her, it's not that the subject is boring. The problem is that you don't try to be interested in it. If your are intelligent, show it. Learn all you can and this will help you to "get in the habit" of wanting to learn. Once you apply yourself you will be amazed at how interesting things will stand out as you learn. Of course, all things will not spark your interest but to see how much you learn will be wonderful. This is where "a willing mind" comes in. Now, a year later and a Jr. in High school, she doesn't know all but she knows something about every class. She also has a 3.4 GPA.

well first.. if you're going to say you're smart. spell the words right. its not rele its really.

and you can take classes that intrest you to make school bearable. and try to find a way to apply whatever it is you're learning to your life. like math- if you're doing procentages pretend you're our shopping and there's a sale going on. if you're learning about history pretend you're getting ready to go on who wants to be a milionare and so on. it fun to think of it that way. and it makes you want to pay attention so you can get more details for your 'story'. also its easier to remember when you take tests.

and about homework try doing it in sections. say im going to work for an hour and then im going to reward myself. this way you have something to look forward to after you do your homework. rewards can be like 15 min on the computer, 30 min of tv or 20 min on the phone. etc

You are only a small % of the person you could be.

Not getting all you can out of your schooling now means you will be less of what you could be in the future.

It's not just you not learning as much as you can now but the work habits you get in to.

You need to have as much as you can working for you to get by in life. Don't quit now.

Sounds like school isn't challenging you-could be the reason it's boring you. Try looking at school at different way-be creative!
