First: no, I am not sexist. I just can't help but wonder why that is one instrument that is sorely lacking in female recognition. Your thoughts?

Because there simply isn't enough attention given to women in the music industry, period. There are some fabulous female artists out there, like Ani DiFranco, who kick butt.....I think people expect women to be lead singers or pop artists. Statistically there are more women in that part of music. I could probably go on and on and still not have a good answer for you.....

Theres quite a few if your talking heavy check out Kittie.But many females can shread,maxine petrucci,the old band phantom blue,alot of women can rip it up as well.

Too much bubble gum popcrap out there no one need to play these days! Heck they don't even have to know how to sing!row

I sure wanted to be one of those when I was little but I got stuck with piano...to this day I wonder....LOL...my kids however have every instrument their little hearts desire..so long as they play them...it's worth it.
We're just conditioned to focus on stupid things I guess.

There's many out there, but us men usually outcast them out of natural pig headed instincts. Dont worry it's our nature all us half way normal men can do is try ro ignore ignore that instinct. But you know it's hard.
