I am moving to Japan in a few months, and would like to continue playing drums (western style). Has anyone taken drum lessons in Japan? Is it expensive/hard to find a teacher?
Can I take it through the high school I will be attending?

♡My friend's son takes drum and guitar lessons at a private music school. I doubt that they offer it at any high schools though. You'll have look for a private music school like this:

...in the area of Japan where you'll be that offers drum lessons. This school has all the instruments there and allows students to use them for their lessons. All ages welcome.
★DRUMS- Basic course- For beginner-Individual lesson-Three times a month/30 minutes-\11,025
~You'll be more likely to find a school in Tokyo than out in the country side, I think.
Good luck, hope this helps!♡

People usually rent a music studio. This is not a recording studio. Small but good for young musicians.

Check some music magazines in the bookstores. You will be able to find tons of the advertisement.

I am not sure what you say lessons. Musical schools hold a class for drum too. But I don't know if they have any short or private lessons.
