Well, the trend in increased number and intensity of hurricanes is clearly attributed to the man made phenomena of global warming, so I don't see that as an act of god. As for earthquakes, for the past ten years the number of intense earthquakes has been below average. Floods are a pretty regular event, so again, I don't know where you see any "fulfillment of the prophesies."
As far as gay rights, the progress our society has seen, and (I pray) will continue to promote, is a great step in civility and compassion, quite the opposite of what you're talking about. Finally, abortion has been around as long as humanity has been in existence. We just have new technologies to do it. Certainly it isn't leading to Armageddon!
So . . . I have to admit, I think you're being paranoid. I'm devoutly Methodist, so while I agree Armageddon will come, I don't see our society's self-inflicted inadequacies as a sign of the end of civilization but as an incentive to go out and make a positive impact. Stop fretting and be the change you want to see in the world!

So far the hurricanes, floods, earthquakes etc are only variations within the norm. I hope that I'm not around for these events in Biblical proportions..... where a 1/3rd of the Earth's population is killed at a time. The Mid East events along with what Russia and China are doing, however, could be considered birth pangs of future events. The president of Iran is promising to bring on Armageddon in order to bring forth the 12th Imam. For anyone that is actually paying attention these are dangerous times.

Prophesies of God's word, the Bible ... Yes.
(I've not quoted any Scriptures, as these articles are full of them!)

- World Wars & Other Evidences
- The Dragon was Hurled to Earth
- End of Human & Demon Rule Near
- Who Will Survive? Who Will Not?

And the next prophecy in line for fulfillment is ...

How does this fit in with Bible prophecy?
http://www.watchtower.org/library/lmn/article_10.htm
The above on-line articles are just a sample of many more that have been published over the years by Jehovah's Witnesses. All based on the Bible, they contain many & various Scripture-reference-links regarding Prophecies about Armaggedon. Many persons pray for God's Kingdom Government --His heavenly Kingdom with Christ enthroned as King-- without realizing that an Actual government Is involved.
The Lord’s Prayer---Its Meaning for You :
- What Is God’s Name?
> What is God’s Will for the Earth?
- Prayer, Our Physical Needs, and Forgiveness
- Help to Pursue a Righteous Course
- Faith in God Is Essential
http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2004/9/15/article_02.htm *
I have both read & compared each of these articles with Scripture, and find them to be in total harmony with each other. I believe what God --& his son Christ-- actually teach, through God's word, the Bible.

No, no more than I believe people like Nostradamus should be revered.
Now excuse me, I'm late for my Gays and Transsexuals for Abortion, Secularism, and Eating of Babies Club. And after that, I have to play poker with some buddies of mine. Demogorgon, Mephostophiles, Lucifer, Beelzebub, and their homies think they can beat me at poker, and I bet my soul I'd win. And finally, I'll rob a few old ladies before I find myself a woman of ill-repute for the night.
If you haven't figured it out by now, I think all that religious stuff is crap. Do whatever you want. People also thought that the world would end at the turn of the millennium.

Well, let's put it this way... people believed in a prophecy that said the world was going to end in the year 2000. Guess what? We're in the year 2006 and we're still alive.
In other words, no.
