My son is 5 months old, right now he weighs 21lbs, and is 27 1/2 inches tall... He already has his left front bottom tooth in and the other one should be breaking the surface sometime this week.. He's been rolling over both ways front to back and back to front since he was 4 months... He's also been holding his bottle and his spoon when we feed him. He can already scoot across the floor and he pulled himself to his feet today while we were playing.. I don't think he knew that he had done it.. he had this really suprised look on his face.. Is this normal, or was he in my belly too long?? Any other opinions would be very helpful..

He's also quit waking up in the middle of the night to be fed.. and he never cries unless he's tired, and when he cries when he's hungry I just tell him that I'll go get his bottle, and he stops crying?!!? I'm not complaining though...

Normal. Don't worry about it just be proud. No, he wasn't in your belly too long, babies that are way overdue tend to have health issues, and it doesn't sound like your little guy has any.
And I LOVE that look that they get when they realize that they are standing!!!!

And the problem is what? All babies are different. Some develop very quickly and others not. I've known babies like yours although the majority don't develop that quickly. There are downsides too, that their bodies are not strong enough to hold their weight and they could end up bow legged if they progress too quickly with too much weight, but overall they are growth spurts. Some happen early in life and others later. Boys are much stronger generally so at 5 months your son is probably doign what most do at 8 or 9 months.
All of mine walked by 10 months too, were sitting between 4-6 months on their own...so it's hard to say and compare to others really.
But if your son is doing all that he'll be up and walking before a year. That's not always a good thing as they don't know that there are dangers and I had many a mishap with cut lips, falling down stairs and all kinds of stuff becasue they weren't able to sense the dangers.

U have a good baby.
My daughter rolled over at about 4 months, was pulling herself across the floor.. not crawling but actually using her arms to pull herself at 5 months, she was standing up and walking while holding onto furniture at 7 months and took her 1st steps alone 1 week before her 9th month. Then she gave me her bottle at 11 months.. didnt want it anymore! She started kindergarten at 4 and proceeded to teach the other kids how to hang upside down on the monkey bars, her teacher was SO proud. She was actually hanging upside down withher ankles wrapped around the CHAINS or her trapeze bar at home at that age too!
She was always "advanced" Now shes 17 and will start College next year. Where does teh time go?
Congrats on your new baby!

Every baby is different. Which means every baby grows and learns things at a different rate. Some are slow learners and do things at a leisurely pace others are independent and want to do everything themselves from a young age. Unless there is something that you are seeing that is alarming your son is probably just a quick study. My daughter was holding her head up at the end of her first week and she was born at 39 weeks. Your son is just smart. Be proud.

He seems like a pretty quick learner, but some babeis are like that. I first began to talk(real words, not just goo-goo and ma) at 6 months, so thats pretty early. Some babies I know have started walking before they were even six or seven months old! My little brother learned to walk and crawl pretty early because he saw myself and my other siblings running around-so he was more eager to learn. I've heard thats common for babies who have older siblings though

Sounds like you got a real smart baby on your hands, keep talking to him like he's older then he is. It's obvious that he understands you. My son was right where your son is right now develepmently. By six months he should be crawling. He will learn to stand more often praise him for his hard work to get up there and he will learn that you enjoy what he can accomplish. Congrats

You are a lucky mother-it sounds like your son is very smart and advanced for his age.
My son is 19 months old so I don't remember when he did everything but he was not that far along at that age-I know that much.Be happy!

There's nothing unusual about that. Babies all have different rates of development. He's a little boy....he's overly active. He's normal.
