I already have an Ibanez Tallman, doesn't cut it for me, and I just got a 1778 Ovation LX Elite, I love it, it just doesn't have that acoustic sound, and feel. Its great for sitting down, but is just uncomfortable standing up. Any suggestions?

Yes, I am closing out my remaining 2006 production of acoustic guitars. Visit my website http://miragegworks.com and take a look. I am selling at 70% off list price till they are all gone.

Well, it is all in preference and price range. I have played many guitars and over the years have hammered down my favorites. My acoustic of choice is the Fender Stratocoustic. Now, this is an odd guitar. It is a skinny acoustic that works well as a blues or bluegrass guitar. I will say that it does NOT perform well as a straight acoustic because of its size. It must be amped to really get it going. I can make it sound like a big bellied acoustic or a bowl belly ovation. I have also kicked in the distortion on and this guitar does some pretty interesting things.

I really like the Takamine acoustics also. But, if you have the money and want the ultimate acoustic sound I recommend a Martin guitar. I have never met a Martin I did not like.

Gibson or Martin. You can get a real nice Gibson for under $1000.00 Martins are much higher, but they both have that classic acoustic sound. I have a Gibson Gospel model. No Bells or whistles, just good sound. It is the same guitar as a Hummingbird, only no fancy stuff on it.

I have a Jackson RR1 and it is very sweet. I also really like Les Pauls. So I would say guitars from either Gibson or Jackson, but that's my own personal choice.
