The food I look most forward to making: Christmas cookies! I try to make at least six different kinds, and if I have the time and energy, I'll make as many as 15 different types. Usually I'll include fudge and hand-dipped chocolate pretzels along with traditional cookies. I've already started making the cookie dough and freezing it until the week before Christmas.

As for the food I look forward to eating, more than any other food during the Christmas holiday, I love green chile tamales, and the sweet tamales too.

Where I live (San Antonio, Texas) it's become traditional, no matter what your nationality, to have tamales at Christmas dinner. Other stuff too, of course, but you have to have some tamales on the table along with whatever else you're having.

After all, you just had turkey a month previously at Thanksgiving.

Homemade desserts. I associate Christmas with rich sweets and goodies. I'm sure it's because my Grandmother, who was a natural born nurturer, someone who loved me dearly, baked during the holidays. It's the one time of the year I love to bake for days and so I must "test" everything that I bake of course. ;-)

Mine is an old ethnic cuisine carried on for hundreds of years in our family. Angel hair pasta with anchovie sauce. Of course we can't forget the Bakala to bring in good luck, good health and good life for the New Year!
