So Santa know where to put my Gifts. Heck, I not want him just leaving them anywhere, be hard to find. I can jump out of bed in the morning and run to the tree and I know that where all the goodies be.

well one it is a tradition and they are beautiful to look at and then you put presents under them at Christmas

hell has nothing to do with it. its a symbol of the everlasting life of Jesus. sad, that they are choppeddown and killed to make the point, though.
