okay words that would be hard to say would be sounds that are not often used in his native language. One way to do it is when teaching work on letter combinations such as the ch sounds then the sh sounds etc but don't forget the rules for the different vowel sounds. (LOng A short A. And when to know how to change them. Good Luck.

I think words like
two...to ..too ,
train....trane..,
buy bye
the words that sound the same but mean different things.
I have had trouble explaining this to a friend learning English.
