My Nvidia GeForce 7800 GC OS is not performing very good. I am getting low fps when i play counter strike source. When I was checking the Videocards properties I noticed that it said the location of the videocard was PCI Bus 1, but the videocard is AGP. Is that the wrong type of videocard for the slot?

No, that's normal for an AGP card. If you used the wrong slot, it would not work at all.

It appears that it is a compatibility, driver or configuration issue.

1) New video card and old video game. Not always a good combination.

2) Make sure you have the latest Nvidia reference drivers from Nvidia's web site, not the manufacturer's web site.

3) Set everything in our Nvidia control panel to default for Direct3D and OpenGL settings. When troubleshooting, you want everything to be set to factory default. No overclocking, no heavy antialiasing, etc. You may even want to optimize everything for performance instead of quality. Then slowly bump the settings and see where your happy medium is.

Performance is not solely dependent on the video card. Processor and RAM speed makes a difference too. In order to take full advantage of a video card, processing speed is key. Hopefully, you have at least a 2.4Ghz processor. If you don't, there maybe other bottlenecks in your system besides your old video card.

you want to bypass into your BIOS Setup purchase restrating your computer and in many situations it takes a fulfillment on the F1 key yet that depemds on the motherboard/BIOS producer...once you commence your computer the BIOS will take position on the reveal screen before living house windows begins...you'll see on the bottom of the reveal screen which key you want to press to get admission to the BIOS...achieve this and bypass into the houses and seem at your onboard video adapter...then disable it...yet make effective the video card you opt for to apply is put in before you're trying this!
