Most sunscreens and any foundation or tint containing a sunscreen will generally photograph lighter that it actually shows up on the skin. Check to make sure none of your products contain titanium dioxide, etc. Often this is the culprit for a ghostly pallor. Once you correct that, if you're still having problems, try a bronzer to warm your skin a little. Make sure to pay attention to whether you're warm or cool toned so you can pick the appropriate bronzing color. Often when I'm working on clients for photos (say for a wedding or special event) I'll apply heavier make-up than I would for viewing in person. You might also try skipping your powder and opting for blotting paper if you're not too oily.

Often times, many of the lower-end cosmetics contain fillers that more upscale lines do not. Hence, the color in the product is diluted and does not go on (or photograph) as dark as it looks in the package. If you've got a special day or special photos to be taken in the near future you might consider a better color line for enhanced pigment payoff.

Look into eyeshadows by MAC, blushes by NARS, lipcolor from Diane Brill, foundations from Cinema Secrets or RCMA.

Hope this helps...

Apply blush on your cheeks! That works for me. Before i had a prob with looking like a ghost too, but i added blush and that changes everything.

For photos, because of lighting, you have to apply more makeup than you normally do. Use full coverage foundation, concealer (if you need it ) blush and powder. As well as eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, etc.

It sounds like translucent powder or something shiny - it reflects too much light and will make you look like a ghost. Try something that is more opaque that matches your base.

you need to find a foundation (liquid) or a powder that i photofriendly.. i work for lancome cosmetics and we have one that reflects the light out..also try a bronzer! Also if your face is red undertone you need a makeup that is a neutral or a warm color no PINK colors!

Change your looks or else go in for a 'Soft Line' photograph.

try a bronzer. im really pale too and it gives me a healthy glow. Just make sure the kind that you buy doesnt have sparkles in it. That makes it really obvious.

a bronzer wont help.
look for a foundation with no SPF
its the SPF in the foundation making your face look white or find somthing lower then 15+ SPF. i really love MAC studio tech for this, its what most make up artists use
