I'm trying to find a template or some sort of idea where i can start. Its for my little brother's assignment and i want to get a head start for him.

Well if ur brother is like 9 years old then you should find another project but if he isn;t you should first find a picture of a samurai sword that is flat against the ground. Then print and use a dark marker to trace the outer edges of the sword onto the wood. After that you should have a nice visible line on what the sword would look like, cut the wood and if you need to be decorative get wood carving tools to cut out the handle marks and possibly add black string around the handle. Then add silver paint to the metal areas of the sword. If you don't know what the decorations would look like, keep looking at your picture of the sword.

I dont guess you or your little brother will be forging steel so Im guessing you wil be making this from wood.
Just draw the shape by hand, it has a slight curve and is about 2 foot long.

you probably shouldnt be... whatever you got to forge it make the handle and fold the metal a lot, its complicated

use asludge of metal, cut with a wielders sharpener,aadd handle,voila!
