Chances are you have too many programs running that start with Windows that you are not actively using. Any more then 30 or so processes running in task mgr will be a lot for a Celeron processor unless you have at least 512 MB of RAM memory.
Try lowering the number of start-up programs either by going to the program itself or using msconfig.
Or buy some more RAM. RAM is dirt cheap these days.
Good luck.

The problem here lies in your browser; AOL. Most or all novice AOL users believe they must use the AOL browser to surf the net, well that's far from the truth. Once you've established a connection to the Internet (ie, high speed cable, broadband, ISP, dial up etc) use a different browser. Best out there are Opera or Firefox. ( www.opera.com www.mozilla.org). Alas, now that you're infected thanks to AOL, format your hard drive, install your O/S and chock this episode as a learning experience.

This is often caused by a out-of-date printer driver or video adapter driver, or an incorrect one. Try reinstalling them and be sure they are for your exact hardware. You also might want to go to the hardware Web sites first and download the latest drivers for your printer and video adapter, or get a friend to do it for you onto a jump drive if you can't get online at all.
Good luck!

If you go to PC Pitstop you can run tests on your computer and it will tell you what you need to do to get it running better. I love it because it also shows you the spyware that needs to be removed. Good luck!

Go here: http://www.pcpitstop.com/
Click on the yellow key and test anonymously. The test is free and should give you an idea of what is wrong. It is safe. I use it all the time.
