For a real tree to keep it fresh simply water daily with a mixture of water and sugar. You should use about a 1/4 cup sugar to 1 quart water.

Have fun and enjoy the wonderful smell of christmas

I'm assuming this is a live tree, has it been cut or does it have the roots in a ball. Either way make sure everyday to keep the container it is in full of water. You can also add just a tiny bit of miracle grow to help it stay greener longer too. Don't put it near heat that will really make it dry up fast no matter what you do to keep it looking good.
