they claim that because i owed 700.00 coming in they cannot find an appartment. they collect $7,000.00 the first of the month. no refunds. this is in beaver county pa.

Call your social worker and your primary care doctor.
Obviously the nursing home makes money each day that you're in there.

Talk to your doctor or someone who is in charge of the nursing home and have them explain what is going on, if you can, have a family member or someone you trust come with you.....there is no reason why you cannot leave, even if you owe money, you can pay them when you get it.....could they just want to keep you there for the money? Find out!

They can not make you stay there for any reason. If you are mentally able to know what you are doing, walk out. That is if the dr. has discharged you. They can keep you. Call social services.
