+ The military allows you 4 min. to save on water aboard ships. Seeing as I am ashore and retired I now take 5 or 6 min.

10 minutes.

You might want to find out what the roomate is doing in there, and I'm not talking about, ahem, with his/her self or partner.

I had a roomate with a lot of very curly hair and she would spend almost 45 minutes in teh shower because she deep conditioned and it took that long to rinse it out.

You might want to ask your roomate to shower after you at least, to save on the heated water.

Average is 7 to 12 minutes, 1/2 hour is just wasteful.

I'd expect your average to be about 15 min. Me, I usualy do about that, sometimes ten. My husband...we're talking forty minutes, sometimes worse. I've been able to watch an hour long TV episode by the time he finishes. (Fortunately he pays the water bill.)
