You can order food from your house and the delivery truck will bring it, or you can go to a community lot that sells food(its a lot that has those fridge/freezer things or the fruit/veggie stands)and buy it from there

which sims2 do you have? cuz i dnt know if the sims2 for pc is like ..but fo the sims2 for the playstation2 you dont buy the food you harvest it.. you buy a food tree and a herb garden ..you water those plants then when you see the option harvest u harvest the food .. the refrigerators u buy have sum food in them..the u-probe refrigerator has everything buts its a lil more expensive..when u dnt have alot of money a fruit barrrels are good..

The only way I know how to replenish groceries is by ordering on the computer.
