I use Firefox and I don't get them any more! But yes, I do hate tracking cookies.

You computer doesn't get slowed down by tracking cookies. Cookies are just like little tiny text documents that store information so that when you revisit a page it can know you've been there already (they can also store all kinds of other information).

If you are really concerned about them, switch to firefox. It has an option to always clear your private data when you quit. It also has a control for these so you can have it keep your passwords to log in to things, but erase cookies and the past URL list.

It is part of the internet, to remove cookies go to Tools-Internet Options and clear the cookies, they will accumulate again. Some sites will not let you in without cookies. You can also download Lavasoft Adaware to help block Tracking cookies and Hijacked Homepages. It is free.

Computers cannot get slow from a very small text file. And a cookie is just a very small .txt file.

Cookies are of main concern to kids who wish to hide there browsing habits from there parents and to vendors of Anti-spyware, who feel they must detect something of else people won't buy there programs!

Hell, last time I bothered to clear all my cookies, I had over 3000 of them and NO computer slowdown!
